Employment

Window washing is hard work where the customer has to be perfectly satisfied when you finish, but it can be a flexible and rewarding way to make a living. Please look into the Job Description if you are independent, honest, a perfectionist, and think you would enjoy growing a small business.

Description of Work:

  • Cleaning windows (exterior and interior depending on the customer)
  • Removing, cleaning, replacing, and minor repairs on screens
  • Cleaning gutters (rarely)
  • Moving small furniture, plants, etc. from interior windows and then replacing when finished
  • Climbing ladders
  • Walking on safe rooflines
  • Going into window wells
  • Laundering the used rags (On consecutive days when we won’t see each other, otherwise I will do the laundry)
  • Quick marketing tasks (Yard Signs, Door Hangers, Card distribution, online referrals, etc.) Total time spent marketing during any given job should be about 10-15 minutes.

Compensation: 

  • $20/Hour starting/during training period
  • $25/Hour when working independently as a subcontractor
  • 50% of billing for new clients brought in as a result of your work

Work Area (Flexible to your location):

  • South – Larkspur, Castle Rock, Sedalia, Castle Pines
  • West – Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Centennial, Lone Tree, Greenwood Village
  • East – Franktown, Elizabeth, Parker, Pradera 
  • North – Aurora, Denver

Subcontractor Expectations:

  • I will buy a company vehicle for you to drive to and from work (use it for personal stuff if you want, but with your own gas).
    • This vehicle is owned and insured by Window King, so all mileage will be written off as a business expense.
    • If you want to use your own vehicle and write-off the mileage for your own business, I will supply the equipment necessary (rack, ladders, etc.)
  • I will help you start your own LLC and get the right insurance ($700/annually as an estimate).
  • Season is March 15th – December 15th, but will be flexible during spring and fall months
  • June, July, and August are crunch time, so unavailable days will need to be communicated to me a week in advance.
